Lawrence J. Carroll, Executive Director
Mr. Carroll became Executive Director of Bridge House Inc., on January 1, 2012. Prior to working at Bridge House, Mr. Carroll worked for The Diocese of Bridgeport. During his thirty years with the diocese, he held a variety of leadership and administrative positions.Mr. Carroll was born and raised in Bridgeport and has a long history of involvement and commitment to the greater Bridgeport community. He was awarded a Bachelor's degree in Humanities from St. Mary's University in Baltimore, MD., a Master of Divinity Degree from Christ the King in New York and a post graduate program of studies at The University of Notre Dame. More recently, Mr. Carroll also completed a Human Resources certificate program at Fairfield University.
Bridge House's Board of Directors selected Mr. Carroll pursuant to a national search and believes that his proven leadership and development strengths, and dedication to serving those in need within our community, will enrich his experience at Bridge House.
Bruce Bieler, Business Manager
Bruce Bieler has been the Business Manager at Bridge House since October, 1992. He has been involved in non-profit accounting for over 22 years. Prior to that, he was in the for profit world for 20 years. He served as a Corporate Accountant for The Schiavone Corporation in New Haven for nine years and he began his career at Casco Products in Bridgeport for six years. Bruce received an Associates Degree at Quinnipiac College: Hamden, CT.
Maureen Cuda, Program Director
Maureen Cuda, LCSW has been employed at Bridge House since 1992. She began her clubhouse experience in the Food Service Unit and today Maureen has almost twenty years experience in the clubhouse model. She has attended three week colleague training at Genesis House and employment training at Fountain House.
Prior to Bridge House, Maureen worked as case manger for two years at Quaezer Inc. Quaezar offered educational, residential, vocational and psychiatric services to young adults.
Maureen earned a Masters degree in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University in 1992 and Bachelors of Human Services from Springfield College in 1989.
