Nothing is beyond being tackled. You can learn how to cope. You can learn how to make strides in your life."

I have my pride. I feel so good about the direction of my life. I thank Bridge House staff and members, and especially the employment specialists for believing in me, working diligently, and being such an encouragement in my journey to recovery."

The Bridge House is a psychosocial clubhouse where people with physical and mental disabilities can attend and expand their horizons and broaden their intellects. The atmosphere is not clinical and there is many staff there to help you get through it. The staff is willing to help the members so is the director Victoria Furey who tries to be there as much as she can. It is a great environment for growth. the Bridge House means a lot to me. It helped to get me and others through their recovery."

Before Bridge House I used to stay home, mainly because of people, places and things. Staying away from the wrong things. Now I get up every day happy to come to the clubhouse knowing there are people there that I can relate to."

I feel needed, and i can actually help others because of my recovery here. I am respected and liked by staff and peers. I feel equal. I've also learned how to use new computer technology since I have been a member here."

I went from being homeless and living in my care to supportive housing. I have also, become active in advocacy and have received two awards with the strong support of Bridge House."

I love Bridge House and staff also, and I feel free there and love the people that I'm with."

Bridge House has been very important in my daily life and helps me to be functional and happy as a whole person."

When I came to Bridge House I was overwhelmed with panic/anxiety. I was afraid to sit in the cafeteria. Now I am in college, working part time and very involved in clubhouse activities. This program helped change my life in a positive direction."

Bridge House is a good place for me. I can talk to staff about problems I have. Have had the opportunity to go to school and express myself in building a beautiful herb garden along with tomatoes, etc., for our kitchen. I talk to members interested in learning about herbs. I have no set work station. I go where I'm needed. Have a new project to work on this year with members. Helps release some of my stress. Safe environment."
