Transitional Employment
Transitional employment consists of part-time, time-limited positions (typically lasting six-nine months and generally 15-20 hours per week). Members work at numerous businesses around the community. The main goal is to assist members in achieving their vocational potential. These are real jobs that pay minimum wage or higher.

- Clubhouse staff learn the job in advance of any member.
- Clubhouse staff provide on-site job coaching until both the member, staff and employer are satisfied.
- There is no failure in transitional employment, the attempt itself is a success and future jobs continue to be available regardless of whether or not a member completes the full nine- month placement.
- Employers are guaranteed absence coverage by Bridge House staff.
- Weekly visits to the job site by Clubhouse Staff ensure the member of help whenever needed.
- Member entitlements are monitored by staff to assure no member puts their benefits at risk.
