Housing Support

The Bridge House Supportive Housing Program offers assistance to its members in obtaining and retaining safe, affordable housing. The goal is to enable our members to live in the community independently over time by avoiding future homelessness, increasing employment opportunities, expanding participation in volunteerism, returning to school, and enhancing their financial position and personal well being.

In collaboration with Woodfield Family Services, BHCC, YMCA and others, Bridge House helped to establish one of the first supportive housing programs in Connecticut. Using the Corporation for Supportive Housing's comprehensive approach, Bridge House helped plan, build, develop and staff two brand new housing projects (a total of 72 units of housing) known as the Fairfield and Crescent Apartments.

On-site case management helps residents remain independent in the community. More than thirty (30) of our members have or are and residing in these fully furnished, subsidized and supported units.
