ADVOCACY

Bridge House is strongly committed to promoting public awareness of and ultimately ending the stigma surrounding mental illness. Our staff and members stay actively involved in all local, regional, and state initiatives.

Our Member Advocates:

Serve on the Board of Directors at Bridge House.

Attend regular advocacy training's in Hartford.

Routinely testify before legislators at the state capitol in Hartford.

Maintain a presence in all community-based advocacy groups.

Spearhead email and telephone campaigns pertaining to mental health legislation.

We are very proud to be the recipients of several local, state, and federal awards, including Advocacy Partner of the Year in 2015, from the Southwest Regional Mental Health Board.
