
How To Join

Who Qualifies for Membership?
To qualify, you must:

Have a mental health condition as your primary diagnosis.
To meet the requirements of Clubhouse International, individuals whose primary diagnosis is autism spectrum disorder or ADHD do not qualify for membership.

Be 18 years of age or older.

Receive regular treatment by a licensed clinician.

Be medication compliant.

Not pose a risk to your own or others’ safety.

Be drug-free for at least 3 months.

Attend an Open House Tour: Tours are available every Wednesday at 10:30 AM. Simply arrive at the designated time—no appointment is necessary. If Wednesdays are not convenient, please contact us by phone at 203-335-5339 or email Erika at edandonoli@bridgehousect.org to arrange a tour.

Submission of Application from Licensed Clinician: The application must be completed and submitted by a licensed clinician who has been providing regular services to the individual seeking membership.

3-Day Orientation: The prospective member will participate in a three-day orientation, spending one morning in each of the following units: Membership Services, Culinary, and Business.

Intake Paperwork and Staff Selection: The individual will meet with a member of the intake team to complete basic forms and will have the opportunity to select the staff member they would like to be assigned to.

Active Membership: Once the new Member demonstrates interest and engagement within the Clubhouse, they will receive Active Membership status.
